Dobszay Gergely:
Homogén ház és a burkolt tetők 1. rész - Építészeti trend és szerkezeti következményei

Kivonat

Some current architecture trends fashion roofs that are covered with materials used previously almost exclusively on facades (stone, ceramics, concrete, wood etc.). The tendency conforms to an architectural direction that aims to express the building’s message and its strength of character through free three dimensional forming. A building with a homogenous, uni-directional appearance is not a „house“ in the regular sense anymore, the expression „house-statue“ suits this kind of construction more. The roof, as a fifth facade, is not altogether a new idea. However, the effective realization of the concept can only be dated back to the recent decades. Solutions used and tried on facades cannot be automatically transfered onto roof surfaces, as these areas must resist more intensive and different effects, when compared to the sides of buildings. The said representative, although „deviant“ constructions require creative, individual solutions that utilize the latest technological advancements - also in the field of building constructions.
