Zofahl Lőrincz építőmester

Zofahl Lőrinc a 19. sz. eleji Pest sokat foglalkoztatott, meghatározó építőmestere volt. Főként a klasszicizmusban és a romantika rövid időszakában tervezett és kivitelezett. A Pesti Szépítő Bizottmányban a leghíresebb építészek (Pollack Mihály, Hild József) mellett találjuk. Gyakran vállalta új épületek, vagy régebben felépült házak áttervezését, emeletráépítéseket. A Hercegprímás utca 13. sz. ház megformálásánál, amit 1861-ben szignált, jól látható a historizmus irányzata. A belső homlokzatok inkább klasszicisták, az utcai
romantikus. Zofahl Lőrinc építőmester ma is meglévő házai műemléki védelem alatt állnak.

ABSTRACT/ENG
Lőrinc Zofahl was a prominent master builder of Pest at the first part of the 19. century. He planned
and implemented buildings mainly in the styles of Classicism and the short period of Romanticism.
We can find him in the Beautifying Commission beside the most famous architects (Mihály Pollack
and József Hild). Zofahl frequently undertakesre designing new or ready buildings and heightenings
of them. In the form of the building of 13. Hercegprímás str. (signed it in 1861) the style
of historism is outstanding. The internal facades are rather of classicist style, while the street-side
facade is rather romantic. Lőrinc Zofahl’s still existing houses are under heritage protection.
